Bio
I was a child of the 70’s (Yes, I pretty much missed the 60’s!) and now live in the beautiful Northern Ireland countryside, but travel extensively.
Since I was a child, I’ve always taken photographs. It’s how I express myself creatively and it was this that led to my early career in the BBC. Many years later and a variety of different jobs, I now spend my time as a professional landscape photographer and love to teach and share my passion with others, whether that be leading a workshop or speaking to groups of photographers in camera clubs, conferences or events.
As for my photographic influences? Well, I’ve long had a passion for the great outdoors, having taken part in adventure sports since my teens, and I’m also heavily influenced by the Japanese garden aesthetic. Putting them together results in the type of images you can see on this website.
In terms of industry recognition, I’m a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society, a Fellow of the British Institute of Professional Photography a Canson Infinity International Ambassador and a LEE Filters Master.
My other passions include skiing and excellent coffee. The two go together particularly well, so if you see me hurtling down a snow covered mountain in the Alps, I can always be tempted to stop and chat by the suggestion of a good coffee.
Please contact me if you want to discuss a workshop or a talk to your group, not to mention buying a fine art print for your wall.
